Why We Built This Site
North Carolina gives the public access to many court records, but the access path depends on the record. Richmond County case information is searched through the statewide eCourts Portal, while paper files, certified copies, certified single-county criminal background checks, probate records, and divorce judgments route through the Clerk of Superior Court at the Richmond County Judicial Center in Rockingham. The Sheriff and jail handle custody records, the Register of Deeds handles marriage and vital records, and North Carolina Vital Records handles statewide vital-event certificates.

- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
